Pi & Beyond

 [21/10/2024 -25/10/2024] This was the eighth week of the our first phase of teaching practice. This week started with morning assembly held by 8B students  which includes prize distribution for quiz competition and letter competition conducted by BEd trainees. I got five classes this week and completed the chapter identities successfully and effectively. On Wednesday, I took 8A students to play ground and engaged them in minor games like plucking the tail This week went quickly and smoothly.  Assembly  Prize distribution 

Innovative work ideas in teaching and learning mathematics refer to creative and effective strategies, methods, or tools designed to enhance student engagement, understanding, and application of mathematical concepts. These ideas often incorporate technology, interactive activities, and interdisciplinary approaches to make learning more dynamic and relevant.  I have made a working model based on the chapter "Identities",as a part of third semester BEd Curriculum 2023 - 2025. Through this model,  I display the four identities which are included in the chapter. The identities can be seen one by one with the help of a rotating chopstick provided,  Students became more active and attentive while presenting this model and they easily recalls the identities.

[14/10/2024 - 18/10/2024] This week went quickly. I got several substitution classes this week. On 14^th october monday, we the B.Ed trainees conducted an assembly along with the 9B students, which was a collaborative activity with us,as part of our curriculum. Assembly conducted based on a theme the celebration of International Girl Child day-october 11. I got my scheduled classes on 8B where I taught the remaing part of identities.During the class I shown my innovative work on the lesson square of difference. Students show enthusiasm in learning the topic and handling. Also I got a chance to take part in PT classes and do exercises.On friday afternoon 5^th period were dedicated to a conscientization program for the 8th-grade divisions, focusing on "Mobile Addiction among children" as part of the BEd curriculum.

        CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAMME REPORT                                                           As part of our B.Ed Curriculum, We conducted a conscientization programme on "MOBILE ADDICTION AMONG CHILDREN" at APPMVHSS, Avaneeswaram on 18th october 2024 at 1.15 pm to 2.00 .Mobile addiction among children is an increasingly prevalent issue, influenced by the widespread availability of smartphones and tablets.This make harmful healthy issues and diseases. To address these issues, parents and caregivers can set limits on screen time, encourage alternative activities, and foster open discussions about responsible mobile use. Schools can also play a role by integrating digital literacy programs. [07/10/2024 - 10/10/2024] There are only four working days in this week. School Assembly was conducted by 8 D students on monday. I continue teaching the chapter' Identities'. Each day I got substitution on classes 6B,5A and 10E classes. I checked the previous day homework. Students are active and attentive and they try to solve the activities i provided . on monday along with the other BEd trainees, we B.Ed students organized a drawing competition for high school students as part of our BEd curriculum during the 3rd and 4th periods. on the next day we BEd trainees conducted a quiz competition for 8C and 8B students as part of our curriculum school activities. on Thursday as part of World Postal Day, BEd trainees conducted a letter writing competition for high school students. (03/10/2024 - 04/10/2024)   After the onam vacation, We restarted our first phase of teaching practice on October 3, 2024, . I had two classes on this week, during which I started teaching the remaining portions of the chapter 'Identities'.I took two models of teaching- constructivist model and inquirytraining model . on friday the school conducted youth festival named -sarangi Arts Festival. The inauguration Ceremony, held from 9.30 am to 10.30 pm, featused by Brijesh Abraham (District Paschayst member), Lechu Lekshmi (Cinema and serial feme) and Shivapased (TV comedy artist). After the inauguration various cultural competitions took place on two stages, including light music, mappila Pattu ant classical music for UP, HS and VHSE students on stage one and programmes like Bharathanatyam ,folk dance, Group dance,vanchipattu mimicry single dance were included on stage two.
